The open-zwave library needs to support it, then DomotiGa can work with it.

Thanks for the answer and to the team working on it for this nice project.
I can confirm this controller work by the way if anyone wonder :)

Anyone know if it's possible to send REST http request to domotiga to light switch ?

No, we currently only support json-rpc requests.

Good to know, added to Z-Wave-Controllers.
Looks like a cheaper alternative to the Aeon Labs and Vision USB sticks, right? Did you order it from DigiKey?

Hi,
Well in fact i got it from there : http://www.domadoo.fr/fr/interface-domotique/2501-sigma-designs-controleur-z-wave-plus-usb.html

It s zwave plus, not zwave like the others (even if it should work with both zwave and zwave+ devices).
I don't know for the vision stick but this one can't be linked to device without it plugged into a computer (like the aeon labs that you can unplug go to the device link and plug back in the computer).

I don't have a lot of device yet to test but i made it work with this one : http://www.domadoo.fr/fr/peripheriques/2594-aeon-labs-module-prise-commutateur-z-wave-plus-avec-mesure-d-energie-gen5-1220000012578.html
in an oracle VM virtual box with the ubuntu release with domotiga from the install page (and update of the repository/build from git/svn domotiga/wrapper/open zwave).
I'm not that good with linux / virtual box so i used this page to find the serial port of the controller (https://techtooltip.wordpress.com/2008/09/12/using-host-serial-port-from-guest-in-virtual-box/) and another one to allow a remote desktop (in my case an android tablet) to take control of the virtual box.

Thanks for the info, first time I hear about ZWave+. Seems like the main difference is that the devices "push" their profile to the controller so the controller does not have to know the profile for new devices.

If you have one device working, I think it should be no problem (maybe apart from range) to get the other devices also working.

Good tip about Virtual box and how to map ports.

Agreed, Linux can be a bit difficult if you start with it, but the good thing is that it is free and can run on small platforms like the Raspberry etc., see DomotiGa Server Hardware.

Like Alexie indicated, Domotiga supports JSON-RPC and that is at least HTTP based.
So with deviceset you can pretty easy switch the light.

I think the RESTfull principles are nice, and JSON-RPC does not fully adhere to it but is there any reason you specifically search for a method the send REST http requests?

Well in fact i wanted this project (http://blog.encausse.net/s-a-r-a-h/) that use the microsoft kinect (and sadly windows, that s why i needed the virtual box) to do voice/speech/face/gesture recognition to command domotiga.
I already sent rest request from this project (using nodejs), but json request will be ok too juste havent tryed it yet :)

SARAH is also a really nice project by the way even if i think, most of the wiki is in french :(
Kind of a brainless jarvis from ironman :)

Quite fun to use a Microsoft kinect voice/speech/face/gesture recognition and yes, Microsoft means Windows ;-)

My French is not great but using the Microsoft translator I read http://bibabox.fr/le-controle-vocal-avec-raspberry-pi-s-a-r-a-h/ and think interface to S.A.R.A.H is not that difficult from Linux. Does S.A.R.A.H run on the Kinect?

Trying JSON-RPC is simple, to set value #1 for device 52 to off:

$ curl -sS -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Accept: application/json" \
> -d '{"jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "device.set", "params": {"device_id": 52, "valuenum: 1, "value": "Off"}, "id": 1}' localhost:9090

More on JSON-RPC.
